Blog #33 Practice Lead #2
Hey there, following the previous blog I will be linking a practice lead I have completed below. This practice was interesting to me, I felt like a real reporter writing for a magazine. This specific lead practice includes a descriptive lead, including my notes on the article and a title I used to describe my lead.
2. The end of “free” America
- many businesses have stopped “freebies” because they do not think it is worth it
- Many of the services that gasoline stations used to offer for free to attract customers
- because of the increasing costs of the freebies. "We can't justify the cost of the freebies
- many companies have found that they weren't getting enough new customers to cover the cost of the free items
- many things like alterations, gift wrapping and refills in a restaurant have gone with the wind
- Narrative Lead
I always sucked at gift giving; so, a couple years back when Macy's stopped offering free wrapping service my family hated my gifting habits even more. What is going on in this free country, I asked myself. However, what is the real problem, things are getting too expensive. Many companies have found the marketing tactics that draw people in to buy or use a service do not cover the cost of free items.
Below I’ve created an appropriate graphic that depicted the lead. I made the Graphic in Canva.
