Blog #8 Framing

 

Welcome back readers! As you know we’ve been discussing camera shots and angles and everything dealing with film, well today is no different. I will be showing you all the technique of framing and how I used it to capture some amazing photographs. What is framing? Framing a photograph entails how a photo is composed, photographs or filmmakers generally use the natural framing of a setting to emphasize all focus on the subject matter. 

For example when I photographed this park I used the surrounding gate to pull focus from the outside frame into the playground.

Another way I used framing to capture a subject is pictured below, I used the door of the fire extinguisher to capture my subject. Through this photo I wished to display the gap between viewers and my subject showing a disconnect of reality.
